We are a team of civil engineers, electrical engineers, web developers, and programmers. Working directly in the field while keeping one hand on the pulse of research trends through our academic connections means that we can identify real gaps in the market and fill them using the latest research innovations.
Our mission is to design and ideate devices that can prevent catastrophes due to structural degradation or unforeseen events, both natural and man-made.
Who We Are
Our team’s multidisciplinary nature, depth of research experience, and wealth of hands-on practical skills enable us to develop devices that are not only durable but functional.
Maurizio Bottini has a Master’s degree in Construction Engineering and is currently completing a Ph.D. in Earth Systems and Built Environments. He has years of experience as a software developer and is the mind behind our acquisition software and also designs the mechanical parts of our hardware.
Davide Buccella is a full-stack developer with experience in both frontend and backend development of web apps, web design, and database development. A true web wizard and development dynamo, he is responsible for web development, web-app design, and generally fulfills all of our IT needs.
Mirko Rossi has a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering. He has worked as an FPGA developer for telecommunications and electronic defense systems and as an Integrated Circuits designer for Hard Disk Drive (HDD) systems. His job is to research and develop our hardware systems.
Matteo Di Giorgio
Matteo Di Giorgio has a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and has worked as a hardware designer and FPGA developer in the fields of industrial/machine vision, industrial communication, and defense electronic systems. At ASDEA Hardware, he is essential in the research and development of our products.
Guido Camata is a Structural Engineering Professor at the University of Chieti-Pescara of Chieti-Pescara, visiting professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Prof. Camata is partner at ASDEA Hardware and has over 20 years of experience. He is specialized in the coordination of the design and implementation of civil works, technical standards in seismic areas, and seismic risk assessment.
President of the Board
Dr. Petracca is President of the Board and Partner of ASDEA Hardware. He has extensive experience in nonlinear analysis, numerical simulation codes, and graphic user interfaces for data visualization. He holds a Ph.D. in Computational Multiscale Analysis of Masonry Structures. He has developed several new finite elements and constitutive models.
