We offer one free unlimited 30-day trial of STKO per user for the purpose of evaluating the software. To download and start your free trial, read the instructions below. All Trial licenses will automatically convert to the Free Learning License after the 30 days expire.

What is the Free Learning License?

 

We want students to have more access and increased interaction with OpenSees didactically. With the Free Learning License, they will be able to build models, run analyses, and experiment in STKO. This license is also perfect for university students looking to self-study the basics of OpenSees.

Activate Your License

  1. Login or Create a New account
  2. Click the START button in your USER AREA
  3. DOWNLOAD and INSTALL the software following the STKO Installation Guide
  4. If prompted, insert the customer ID listed in your USER AREA
  5. Ensure you have OpenSees downloaded and installed on your device. It can be downloaded for free from the websites of several different educational, research, and non-profit entities. Learn to do so on our System Requirements page.
