Project objectives:

From the collaboration between ASDEA S.r.l and Walter Tosto S.p.A. comes the WOLF (Workshop Overseas Learn Fabrication) project. A revolutionary “smart factory” project for the development of a progressive and adaptive manufacturing paradigm for large items and equipment typical of industrial boilermaking, whose central idea is to create an “overseas workshop” i.e., a traveling factory built with a modular structure composed of ISO 20′ containers that can enable the optimization of logistics in this industrial sector, subverting the current production system and distributing worldwide not the individual item but directly its production plant. The research addressed by Wolf focuses on four mutually dependent and related strands: the study and implementation of a modular structure made with containers; the study of a new production layout and related new material handling system all coordinated by an intelligent management system.

Role of ASDEA: Partner

Activities: OR 3 – Research on the intelligent system and modular structure (industrial research) and OR11 – Structural verification, software development and validation (experimental development)
