Project Objectives:

The project aims to develop a system for structural and environmental risk management through the development of innovative research based on data from a complex structural and environmental monitoring network, characterized by both newly designed and traditional sensors. Innovative AI-based monitoring software manages both structural and environmental data. Such data “informs” complex computational models that, through the use of AI, self-update and self-learn as a function of the data collected. Analyses performed using such models generate results that can be visualized within an elaborate and innovative monitoring platform (dashboard), which allows for both graphical representation of the simulations performed on the computational models and the extraction of output parameters that represent or enable assessments of the structural safety and environmental well-being of the set of selected structures within the urban cluster of reference. The environmental monitoring data enable the design and implementation of an intelligent automation system of building temperature and air quality based on home automation principles and control of their heating and cooling systems.
