End Date: December 31, 2023
Link to official site: Site under construction
Project Progress: Ongoing

Funded by: Fund for Sustainable Growth – “Smart Factories” Area

Project Objectives:
The research project aims to develop a revolutionary paradigm that is both evolvable and adaptive for the production and sustainable mobility of large apparatuses and equipment that characterize the heavy boiler industry. As parts in this sector are particularly unwieldy, transportation in the sector is not very economically or environmentally sustainable. The WOLF project was ideated to tackle this problem, and it aims to make production and transport in this sector more sustainable from all points of view. The project plans to create a prototype of an “overseas workshop,” or an itinerant, modular, and intelligent (smart factory according to the logic of Industry 4.0) to have a strong economic and environmental impact on logistics. These “overseas workshops” will use the industry’s standard modular containers as the basic structures, which is why they are used as the representative image of the project.
