Palm Valley Estate is an elegant project for a luxury residential area in the heart of Nairobi. The residence, consisting of different housing units (single-family villas, duplexes, and apartments), is further enhanced by the presence of a series of common areas dedicated to sports, relaxation, and wellness. The structures of the different buildings have been designed in reinforced concrete and steel employing cold-formed beams that allow for lightweight, versatile, and low-impact structures.
The use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodologies has increased the quality of the Palm Valley Estate design in several ways:
- Collaboration: BIM allows the different professionals involved in the project to work together more efficiently, sharing data and information in real-time
- Accuracy: BIM’s digital model allows for more precise design simulations and verifications, reducing the risk of errors and increasing the quality of the final design
